Can sex dolls be pierced?

Most sex dolls are made of TPE or silicone, materials that are designed to mimic human skin. While it is possible to pierce a sex doll completely, there is one important difference from our own skin: TPE and silicone are not self-healing and do not cause pain. Notes on perforation

Although TPE is a very soft material, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Piercing a TPE sex doll does come with some risks, even though it’s not as easy as breaking it with a simple needle. Although it has not been fully researched which metals cause this reaction, it is wise to stay away from cheap products. The theory is that some cheap metals may have pigments on their surface that can leach into the skin of the safest metals. So it is wise to choose carefully and avoid metals that are known to cause this problem.
